Geostan Marine India Pvt Ltd, incorporated in Cochin since July 2013. Geostan Marine India Pvt Ltd, is now one of the most established and undisputed leader in bunker operation in Cochin, in close association with Oil Majors, M/s Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd,Indian Oil Coporation,Matrix Bharath.

Geostan Marine ensures delivery of bunker fuel to ships at the berths and at sea. We are the one and only operator having a Geostan MS Class vessel, named Shree Krishna XV, for the bunkering activities in Cochin.

Geostan MS Class Vessel capacity is being chartered rather than owned thereby increasing flexibility to market dynamics and a clock wise performance thorough out the year.

The vessel is having an oil carrying capacity of 1100 MT. We have capability to deliver 200MT Fresh Water and 12000 litres of Lubricants (60 Drums). As a service provider we have learned to listen. Our success depends on our ability to fulfil our clients requirements.

Why, in Cochin

Considering Cochin's close proximity to the international shipping routes, the Cochin port has drawn up an ambitious plan to scale up its international bunkering prospects, in order to overtake the neighbouring Ports. Cochin is one of the fastest growing logistic centres and being a major international transhipment terminal. Besides the recent commissioning of The Cochin International Container Transhipment Terminal at Vallarpadam, the prospects of Kochi's potential for bunkering is bound to go up as Kochi has plans to develop two port-based SEZs at Vallarpadam and Puthuvypeen in addition to the Petronet LNG Terminal.

Cochin is located at a very strategic position on the international route followed by merchant ships. It provides a maritime gateway to peninsular India. The Cochin port is an all weather functional terminal and also it is a natural port. Some of the facts that are known will project the importance of Cochin being a major international maritime terminal. During the fiscal year 2009-2010,the Cochin port handled an all time record traffic of about 17.4 million tonnes, registering a profitable growth of 12.5% as compared to 15.49 million tonnes during the fiscal 2008- 2009.
